Dr. Zbigniew Moszczynski of Vein & Skin Studio is a board-certified general surgeon and vein specialist who uses Veinwave™ in his practice to eliminate unsightly spider veins. Male and female residents of Bayonne and the neighboring communities in New Jersey can have their spider veins removed safely and effectively at Vein & Skin Studio.
What is Veinwave™?
Veinwave™ is a cutting-edge technology that utilizes thermo-coagulation to eliminate spider veins, hemangiomas, and telangiectasia that display as negative facial focal points. Developed by vascular surgeons, Veinwave™ can eliminate tiny veins that sclerotherapy cannot treat.
Veinwave™ uses thermo-coagulation, which heats and closes tiny blood vessels immediately. The procedure takes under 15 minutes to perform, resulting in no downtime.
What Areas do Veinwave™ Help?
Veinwave™ works best for people who have unsightly spider veins appearing on sensitive locations of the face where other treatments have failed.
Facial areas that can be treated include:
- Nose
- Cheeks
- Skin surrounding the eyes
- Lip area
Does Veinwave™ Treat Rosacea?
Veinwave™ has been used outside the U.S. for the treatment of rosacea, but has not been approved by the FDA for such use. European doctors have found that Veinwave™ is highly effective at removing rosacea symptoms without curing the condition. The number of treatments required is dependent upon the severity of the disease.
Is Veinwave™ Treatment Painful?
Very little discomfort is to be expected during a Veinwave™ treatment. This is because a very fine needle is used. Most patients experience nothing more than a brief pinprick sensation.
When Can I Return to Work After my Veinwave™ Treatment?
You can expect to return to work immediately following your Veinwave™ procedure.
How Does the Treated Area Appear Following Treatment?
After treatment, most vessels completely disappear. Some people experience something that looks like a mild “cat scratch”, with pinkness that fades quickly. Any tiny scabs that are evident will also resolve themselves over the course of several days. Sometimes, the skin may appear temporarily darker following the treatment. This will also resolve itself similar to how a bruise fades. Patients who are prone to strong flushing or histamine allergic reactions may require a topical steroid.
After Treatment, can the Vein Return?
When properly treated, the body removes unwanted debris, and it will fade like a bruise. Your metabolism, overall health, and other factors will determine the length of this process. Although the problem vessels disappear, this does not mean new ones will not form.
Why is Veinwave™ Superior to Other Types of Procedures?
Veinwave™ has numerous advantages over other types of procedures that treat telangiectasia and spider veins, including:
- No bruising
- Less pain
- No downtime
- Extremely safe
- Able to treat areas such as the face, ankles, and knees
- Faster than other treatments
Is Veinwave™ treatment approved for use in the U.S.?
Veinwave™ has been used for a number of years in Europe, and was recently approved by the FDA for use in the U.S.
What is the Cost of Veinwave™ Treatment?
Unfortunately, most insurance companies consider Veinwave™ treatment to be cosmetic and do not cover the treatment. However, in certain cases involving varicose veins, the treatment may be covered. Contact your insurance company directly to learn whether they cover your procedure. We do offer financing options via CareCredit® and also take cash, checks, or major credit cards as forms of payment for your procedure.
