As a highly trained and skilled surgeon, he offers vein treatment for patients who live in Bayonne and the nearby areas in New Jersey.
Venous insufficiency can result from both superficial and deep veins. However, in most cases, venous insufficiency is related to the superficial veins. Treating this issue usually entails destroying the abnormal veins. We can typically eliminate any abnormal superficial veins as long as deep veins remain intact. The practice of destroying superficial veins is not new to medicine.
- Varicose Veins: These are large, swollen veins that often have a twisted appearance, and are typically visible on the surface of the skin. These veins are a major aesthetic issue for most sufferers, but they also typically result in pain, swelling and discomfort. In patients with a considerable degree of vein disease, leg ulcers or blood clots can eventually develop.
- Spider Veins: These are small, dilated blood vessels that may be red or blue in color, and they tend to develop in groups. Spider veins may sometimes cause pain, but they’re mostly an aesthetic issue.

Leg Vein Treatment
- Varicose Veins: To determine the presence of an underlying vein disease, each patient will be thoroughly evaluated. This evaluation will be performed during your consultation with Dr. Moszczynski at the Vein and Skin Studio. Venous insufficiency can be caused by either the superficial or deep veins. Fortunately, in most cases, this is a result of superficial veins. Treating superficial veins is done by eliminating them. We do not remove or destroy deep veins, and superficial veins can be destroyed only when the deep veins remain intact.
- Spider Veins: The preferred treatment method for these is sclerotherapy. It’s a safe and highly effective procedure that causes little discomfort. For this, we inject a sclerosant, (a special solution), into the spider veins with a very thin needle. Within a few weeks, these vessels fade away and become barely noticeable or completely absent. The majority of patients see a 50 to 70 percent improvement after each treatment. An average of two to three sessions will be required for most patients.
